A real family game
Each player uses small, large, wild and exotic animals and their young to try and attract as many visitors as possible to their zoo.
But be careful - the zoo must be carefully planned. Before you know it, you have too many animals and no more room for them. That brings minus points! Luckily, your zoo can expand.

About the designer
Michael Schacht invents games for more than 10 years and game designing is now his main job. Zooloretto is his biggest success so far.

The Zooloretto game family - new!
The 2003 published "Coloretto" is the "small brother" of Zooloretto - good for travelling. "Coloretto Amazonas" (2004) is a bit different - but a very good two player game.

Spring news 2008:
Aquaretto
The special thing about Aquaretto is, that it is on one hand a seperate game and on the other hand an expansion for Zooloretto.
The combination of both leads to a bigger and more ambitious gameplay.
In Aquaretto the players can find the typical gameplay of Zooloretto but also have to find new tactics to win the game.
It will be available at Riogrande Games in aprox. march/april.

Zooloretto wins international game prizes.
And Zooloretto is finalist for the Game of the year in Finnland and Nominee for the Game of the Year 2008 and in the USA.
Zooloretto is 2nd at the Suisse Game of the Year 2007, selected for the Bochumer Spieleliste and in Austria for the Spieleblitzlichter 2007, won two times "Best Game" (categories: Family and Children) within the Golden Geek Award 2007 and recoommended within the Suisse Toy Award 2007 and by Stiftung Warentest. Zooloretto wins the Japan Boardgame Prize 2007 as Best Foreign Game for Beginners.

The american podcast The Dice Tower announced his winners for 2007.
Zooloretto was two times nominated and is now voted by the 14 members jury as "Best Family Game of the Year 2007".
Another nomination for the Meeples Choice Award and finalist for the best foreign game at Boardgames Australia.
The portuguese site Abre o Jogo nominated Zooloretto for the price of the same name.

The zoo grows and prospers: new animals are added regularly and the animals provide offspring from time to time. But what if space becomes limited in the zoo?
Those who know other zoo managers find it useful to send some of their animals to other zoos. Of course, the new zoos like the additions and reward those who sent them.
Two extra trucks are added for the game for two and bonus material is included for Aquaretto.
This is just what is needed for those who cannot get enough Zooloretto.

The story behind:
In Germany there is a very, very famous little polar bear living in the Berlin Zoo. When Zooloretto was released everyone asked for him. So the publisher and the author decided to make a little present for all these people.
